Update - Great App Concept - (not) Hampered By Frequent Service Interruptions

Just wanted to post a quick update to my previous review. Service issues seem to have been addressed and I have started to rely on this application for providing me notification of business-critical emails. Upgrading my rating to 4 starts ****.

Hi.  I quite like the concept of this App.  One of the surprising shortcomings of the iPhone is its lack of attention to additional email functionality, such as customizable email tones.

So MailTones can definitly fill this need - if it worked consistantly.  While I find the App solid, with a nice user interface, the supporting email service that generated the Push notifications is frequently down.  This is NOT a problem with Apples PUSH service, but with Electric Pockets email & Push notification service.

More over, the Electric Pocket doesnt seem to have any type of emal service monitoring, relying on me to complain via email, so consequently these outages are quite long.  

I noticed they have released this App for Blackberry as well - One thing I know about BB users is that theyre expectations of email on the BB very high, so MailTones will need to get their email server issues dealt with asap.

While I would love to rate this App higher since the actual App is great, the supporting service issues make the overall experience a poor one to this point.

I really hope that Electric Pocket gets their services issues looked after.  Like I said, until Apple expands its Mail Apps functionality, MailTones is a great solution in concept.
